Last week, refrigerator made strange noise and control panel, lights, etc. all went dead. There was power to the unit, i.e. circuit breaker was not tripped. After an hour or two unit cameback on.

Now, everything in refrigerator section is freezing. Temps are set at 39 and 0. Water on top shelf of refrigerator is freezing.

Is this a bad control board?

Is the fridge running more than it did before.

It could be a thermistor that has failed.

There should be a technician sheet either in the control panel or in the kick plate that will tell you how to put the fridge in test mode.
