I have an Avanti FF501w frost free small apartment size 4.9cu frig with separate compartments. I have had it about about 2.5 years old but it was a "demo" model from Frys.

I came home from a weeks vacation and found the frig warm but the freezer working properly. The freezer fan works. The frige light works when door opens but no air movement.

got any ideas?

Locate the defrost timer in the control panel or on the outside of the fridge in one of the corners.

There will be two screws with a knob in between.

With the compressor running turn the knob until the compressor shuts off.

The fridge will then be in the defrost cycle.

The defrost cycle will last 20 to 25 minutes.

If the fridge does not start back up you will have to turn the knob on the timer again to start the fridge.

Check and see if the fridge defrosted if it did you have a faulty timer.

If it did not defrost you have a faulty heater or bi metal thermostat.

Check in the owners manual or with Frys to find a parts supplier and servicer.
