Default Freezer works fine... Refrigerator doesn't cool very well
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: GD5SHA
Age: 1 - 4 years

Hello,

I'm having problems with my refrigerator. It isn't cooling very well. I feel very little cold air coming through the two openings in the middle wall. The freezer is working fine. Although there is some ice buildup. I was wondering if anyone could tell me whats wrong with it?

Thanks,

James

You will need to defrost your freezer. Take back panel off and use a hair dryer. Before defrosting check your defrost thermostat,it's probably open, but it must be tested when cold.

The knobs are wired backward. Turn the freezer knob up to control the fridge and turn the Refrigerator knob up/down to control the freezer. I have the same fridge took a year or two to figure it out!!!
