Default Freezer works fine, Fridge does not, Help!
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: LRSD22A
Age: More than 10 years

[size="3"]I have an older fridge at least 10 years old by Maytag. It was working great untill I noticed the fridge warm about 60 degrees and the freezer was up to 40 degrees. Our power went out and was out for 10 hours the other day and now the freezer is back to normal at 20 degrees but the fridge is at 70 degrees and I even turned the themostat up all the way and it is not cooling down, is it time for a new fridge or can this one be fixed? Please help, thank you!

Turn defrost timer to defrost and remove freezer back panel. If solid frost, defrost it with a hair dryer. If you see the heater glowing, you probably have a bad defrost timer. If not you have a bad defrost heater or thermostat.
