Default Freezer Working Fridge Not Working
Brand: Frigidaire
Age: 1 - 4 years

Fridge and freezer worked fine until I moved the unit out to clean underneath. Now the freezers is still kicking but the Fridge is warm. Looking at the vent in the top of fridge ( which Iam assuming is the supply vent) I do notice styrofoam. Is this normal or could this be something left over from unpacking as the fridge seems relatively new.

I have had this issue for 48 hours and I have tried setting the fridge thermostat to its lowest setting, wait 8-12 hours and then set it too its highest setting with no changes.

let me ask you a few questions, if this is a side by side refrigerator, look in the freezer, almost all the way down, and look at the back wall, and let me know if there is a frost build up. Also let me know if the fan in the freezer is running. I can be reached at T. PAONE's APPLIANCE SALES & SERVICE GUIDE Tom

Thanks for the reply. Sorry I should have included more data.

This is an over under model with the freezer up top working great. I did notice last night that there was some ice build up on the back wall of the freezer. I will check tonight to see if this ise is blocking the vent to feed the fridge. I suspect the problem lies in the transfer of air from freezer to fridge as the freezer is really really cold.

I will check the vents and fans tonight. Coils are clean, but I did notice that the compressor is really hot. I know these guys get hot but this seemed abnormaly hot. I dont think it's a major problem as all I did is move the unit 5 feet
