Default Freezer working, Fridge not working
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: TBX18D
Age: 5 - 10 years

Have a GE Fridge, freezer on top. Freezer is working good but the fridge is not cool. I believe this is caused by the defrost timer but would like your opinion or a way to verify. Thanks.

To tell if it is the defrost timer you will have to do this.

Locate the defrost timer in the control panel in the fridge section.

With the compressor running turn the knob on the timer until the compressor shuts off.

Check in the freezer section and see if you can hear the water hitting the heater.

If the freezer defrosts then it is your timer.

If the freezer does not defrost then it is either your heater or the defrost thermostat.

You will need a meter to check them.

Here is a link to your fridge model TBX18D.
