Default Freezer working/fridge not working

You did'nt say if you have an icemaker, (if so this would explain the water dripping) because the icemaker will continue it's cycle dumping water in the freezer. But continue on with below to find problem.
Start with unplugging refrigerator and removing back panel in freezer.

If ice is building up and the fridge is getting warm, You have a defrost problem, You have to determine which of the 3 parts it is. You have a defrost thermostat, timer and a heater. The heater is inclosed in a glass tube under the evap coil in the back of the freezer. If this tube is black the heater is most likely bad, But it could also be a faulty defrost thermostat not working this makes the heater never operate.

So if you remove the back panel inside the freezer you will see the evap coil, the heater is attached to the bottom of it, Look it over and if the glass on it is smoked up it"s bad. If glass is clear, and you can see the wire inside is not burnt apart then problem maybe faulty defrost thermostat. 90% of my repairs are the heater.
Good luck,
Paul
