Is there an ice build up on the coils or just frost?

What is the temperature in the freezer?

What is not freezing?

There is ice on coils pretty heavy.
temp is about 40 degrees.
nothing freezes, only gets cold.

With the ice built up on the coils the freezer will not work right.

The fridge is suppose to defrost itself but something in the defrost circuit is not working.

It could be the timer, the heater or the defrost bi metal.

Locate the timer behind the kick plate in the front of the fridge.

With the compressor running turn the knob on the timer until the compressor stops running.

The fridge is now in the defrost cycle.

Watch and see if the ice starts to melt in the freezer.

If the ice melts you need a new timer.

You will have to turn the knob on the timer again to make the compressor run.

If the ice does not melt the problem is the heater or the bi metal.

You would need a meter to check these.

Here is a link to your fridge model EEV152NWO.

Here is your defrost timer.
