 Freezer thawing food once a week Brand: Maytag Model Number: MSD2454GRW Age: 5 - 10 years
Originally, I noticed that the icemaker was not producing enough ice, and then I noticed that the unit was not as cold as it usually was. I turned the icemaker off just to take it out of the scenario. Long story, short. My home warranty paid for a new relay, compressor, and recharged the system, to no avail. So, I started my own research . . . once a week the temperature rises and food starts to thaw. I have found that if I manually turn the timer, then everything works fine for a week. (I still have not tried to turn the icemaker on). What would cause this? |
