Question Freezer Temp Lite On
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FU20FC6CW1
Age: 1 - 4 years

The freezer temp lite comes on after 3-5 days of operation. I have unplugged it for a couple of hours then after that, I replugged it into the wall plug and in a hour or so lite goes out. It starts working again. Also I turned the timer motor knob to point where it clicks(stops running ) leaving it that way for a couple of hours then turn until comes back on. Then it works for 3-5 days normally. I think maybe the timer-motor may be at fault. Am I on the right track?

I think you hit it dead on.

Can you please verify your model number?

It should be on a tag in the fridge section with the serial number.

Is this a Canadian model?

If it is you will have to call a locale parts place for the repair part.

The unit is a upright freezer. As far as where it was made... not sure but I have located the part(timer motor switch) at the PartSelect web site.
