Default Freezer side does not blow any cold air?
Brand: Amana
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hi,
We have an Amana side-by-side frig., recently the freezer side doesnot get any cold air blowing out. I have checked the condenser on the back and it ran fine with one line is warm and the other is cold but there is no cold air come out when I removed everything off the freezer side. The fan next to the condenser also runs fine.
Is there a fan behind the freezer panel side to blow out cold air? or we have thermostat issue?

Thanks,
Steve

Yes there is a fan. It's usually in the back at the top behind a cover. It's the evaporator fan and it moves air across the evaporator and circulates it in the freezer and sending cold air to the fridge. Refrigerator Repair Guide: How To Test the Evaporator Fan - ACME HOW TO.com
