I have a Maytag side by side refrigerator, and have been having a couple of problems recently. There is ice building up on the floor of the freezer. There is also a little puddle of water on my kitchen floor under the freezer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Remove the ice from the freezer bottom and at the back just under the back panel you will find a drain hole for the defrost water to drain through. It get stopped up underneath in the drain pan. Run a wire down it, run a tube through it or blow it out with air to unstop it. Pour water in to make sure it drains fast enough so it won't freeze in the freezer.
