Default Freezer ok, fridge is warm
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: sss25ifpaww
Age: 1 - 4 years

Fridge was always colder than necessary on a setting of 2. Freezer has always worked properly. Freezer still works properly. Last few weeks I have noticed that fridge is warmer than normal. Now, I have turned the fridge up to 9 but fridge is still warm (50's), and freezer is operating normally. I can hear fridge running and fan in freezer is blowing when I open freezer. Somehow the cold air is not moving from the freezer to fridge. I have checked the opening between the freezer and fridge, and it has been open 9 of 10 times. I just checked the opening and it was blocked, but I manually unblocked it (not sure if this is recommended).

Thanks,

Patrick

Unplug damper control in fridg. section and jam damper half way open. If temps now ok you have either a bad damper, a bad thermistor, or a bad mother board
Go to www.applianceguru.com/forum1/3075.html for info. You will need a meter.
