Just discovered my freezer not working. I opened the inside back and found ice on the bottom coils while the top were ice free. I melted the ice, plugged it in for 30 minutes and found frost on the bottom coils. Drainage seems to be fine, the fans works. The ice dispenser seems not to be working. The compressor seemed hot, but I do not have what to compare. Any ideas welcome.

The irregular frost pattern indicates low freon or compressor trouble. Was the condenser fan near the compressor working. were those coils warm or room temp.
