My Samsung RS2534WW side-by-side refrigerator/freezer is not working properly. The freezer is not getting cold but the refrigerator side seems to be working.

The unit has "twin cooling", which means there are dual evaporators to independently cool the freezer and fridge.

I called Samsung and they had me unplug the unit for 10 minutes to reset the electronics and call back if that didn't correct the issue.

Well it didn't correct anything.

So, no more than I know about these things I'm wondering if there is a defrost timer somewhere or if that's an electronic thing with this model. I've changed a bunch of timers in my days on older fridges. (I've looked through schematics here and don't see a timer.)

Or is it something else? Anyone out there have a clue?

Follow-up: The freezer evaporator coils are totally frozen up. I'm thawing it out now and will fire it back up when all of the ice is gone.

The main PC board listed in PartSelect.com is listed as NLA (no longer available). Does this control the defrost cycle? And if so, can this part be obtained somewhere else online?
