Default Freezer not freezing
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: KSRS25IHSS02
Age: 5 - 10 years

Freezer was thawing out so we removed the contents. We keep hearing 'clicks'. We turned freeezer off and waited a few minutes, turned it back on,and fan comes on. One minute later the compressor clicks on and then clicks right back off within less than a minute, maybe 30 seconds. I removed the rear cover of the unit to visually inspect. When unit is turned on fan comes on, seconds later compressor starts but clicks off again within 30 seconds.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Sounds like a compressor with damaged windings, or gummy bearings. It could also be a burnt wire or bad start relay/overload klixon.
I would replace relay and overload to see if it will fix it. Located on the side of the compressor, just pry them off.
