Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MSD2756GEW
Age: 5 - 10 years
My Side by side refrigerator freezer is not defrosting. Where is the defrost control physically located? Is there an adjusting screw or dial to turn it on defrost manually? The defrost heater appears to be in good condition.

The defrost control is located in the control panel of the fridge section.

It is an electronic board.

You will need a meter to check the heater and bi metal.

The bi metal has to be cold to be tested.

ON Maytags, if the defrost thermostat and heater check ok, I just replace the adaptive defrost board.
