Default Freezer light fuse?
Brand: Amana
Model Number: SSD25N2W
Age: More than 10 years

Freezer light - I was changing light bulb, when I replaced the socket I accidental shorted a terminal to the frame. The result is no current to the bulb. Everything else in the freezer and refrigerator seem to be working OK.

Is there a fuse or fusible link somewhere in this circuit??

Thanks,

Check you scematic for bulb wiring. It probably goes to the switch on the side of the freezer trim. It also might go to the adaptive defrost board pn #12050506
I would replace the door switch, most probable failure item.

Thanks for the tips, I only had the schematic on the back of the refigerator and I couldn't see any fuse or fusible link. I have checked the switch and it seems OK. I guess from your first reply I need to replace the circuit board.
