Angry Freezer frosts, refrig. is warm(60 deg F)
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: ED5PHEXRQ00
Age: 1 - 4 years

Freezer and ice maker ok. Frost ice hanging from top of freezer. Refrigerator warm, no matter where frig control is set. Very little cold air coming from vent in frig. Can't locate air fan in frig. to see if working.
More info. Found the fan in the freezer comp. checked defrost heater, 25 ohms. Found ice in passageways to frig. melted them out. found evap. pan drain frozen. defrosted. Restarted to see if problem corrected.

Default

If the fridge is not defrosting and the heater is good then you likely need to replace the adaptive defrost control that is in the fridge section.

It is part number 6 on the control parts breakdown.

Check under the fridge behind the kick plate for the test sheet.

Here is a link to your fridge model ED5PHEXRQ00.
