Default Freezer frosting up fridge warm

Model Number: 106.9758614
Age: 5 - 10 years

My freezer is frosting up and the stuff in my refrigerator is getting warm. We have checked for cracks and tears in the seal ...none. We have defrosted it and within a week its doing the same thing. Please Help.

Locate the defrost timer in the control panel.

There will be two screws with a knob in between.

With the compressor running turn the knob until the compressor shuts off.

The fridge will then be in the defrost cycle.

The defrost cycle will last 20 to 25 minutes.

If the fridge does not start back up you will have to turn the knob on the timer again to start the fridge.

Check and see if the fridge defrosted if it did you have a faulty timer.

If it did not defrost you have a faulty heater or bi metal thermostat.
