Freezer and Fridge not cold! Brand: General Electric Model Number: ESH22XGPBB Age: 5 - 10 years Hi there - I searched through and couldn't find anyone with the same fridge, or any resolution to those with similar (GE) fridges. Seems like GE has a lot of issues from things I've read on the net. Anyways, here goes:
(oh, and age of fridge is unknown - I inherited this with purchased home)
Had recently noticed that drinks weren't as cold out of the fridge. Later, I opened the freezer to find icicles and water on the floor. The water was coming from the icemaker, apparently, because it was all melting. I emptied the ice out, turned the icemaker off for a while, then back on. Right now, standing water in the ice cube molds. The top of the freezer isn't cold at all - no ice being made. Everything in the bottom seems to be slowly thawing. Fridge seems warm too.
I opened up the back of the fridge and saw that a fan is working - don't know too much about fridges to begin with. What else can I check?
Thanks,
