Freezer foods soft,constant ticking noise

Foods in the freezer (ice cream, bread) are soft... refrigerator section seems to cool ok. There is a constant ticking sound coming from the appliance...has been going on for several days now.

Try to pin point where the sound is coming from. Fan in freezer clicking on built up ice would explain higher temp.

Clicking from fan underneath unit at the back.
