I have a Jenn-Air model JCD2389GE. The freezer works great. The refrigerator, however, doesn't seem to cool enough.

I've changed the temperature settings to set the frig on the coldest possible option, but it still is not cool enough (some food is spoiling earlier than normal).

Is there some other troubleshooting for the frig, separate from the freezer, that could explain why a seemingly perfect-running freezer is not "translating" a sufficient amount of low temperature to the frig?

It sounds like the fridge is not defrosting and has blocked the air flow to the fridge section.

Open the freezer and check and see if there is ice behind the back panel.

If there is ice on the evaporator coil check the heater and defrost thermostat.

If there is no ice check and make sure that the damper in the fridge is opened.
