the freezer door does not seal tight enough. the door closes and stays closed but does not seal.

Can you please supply your model number?

It may be under the kick plate that runs across the bottom front of the fridge or it may be inside the fridge section on a tag with the serial number.

Is this a Canadian model?

Where is the ice forming?

No it is not from Canada. It was purchased in LA, CA.

The ice forms on everything inside the freezer. The whole freezer is full of ice. The door shuts but it does not seem to seal tight.

Where I can't locate your model in our database it is hard to say what is happening with your fridge.

If you take a light piece of metal and see if the magnet is in the door gasket.

You may want to call General Electric at US 1-800-626-2005.

Thank you for your help...

Did you figure this out? I bought my fridge in LA and am having the exact same problem- it's not the hinge- it closes fine, just the seal is kind of loose...
