My freezer is cold but the refrigerator is at 53deg. and set at the coldest setting. This is side by side unit. I pulled the the air duct that is screwed the side of the freezer off and I felt air blowing. When I put my hand on the refrigerator side vent I feel no air coming thru. At the top of my refrig. is the controls for the freezer and the refrg. I see a metal rod that runs from those controls to the vent on the refrid. side. I guess that is the rod that moves the diverter to allow air to flow to the refrg. from the freezer. Would you think if I have air blowing on the freezer side but not coming thru to the refrig. side that it must be a problem with the motor that runs the diverter?? Help
Yes why ever the door is not opening is the problem . Loose rod, broken door, broken hinge. If it has a motor to move the door or not you can observe what moves when you move the fridge control.
