My basement flooded and it took 6 days to get the water out, the freezer was down there plugged in the entire time, when we checked it (7 days later) it was not running and all the items were thawed. Is there any hope in getting this repaired or must I plan to purchase a new freezer?

You can't tell what all shorted out sitting in all that water. You'll probably need a service call to determine what to do.
