Default Freeze/fridge won't cool or freeze
Brand: Amana
Model Number: DRSE663BC
Age: 5 - 10 years

The fridge/freezer won't freeze or cool. There is a whistling sound once in awhile coming from it. I pulled everything out and shut it off overnite and still no cooling. I pulled off the cover in the fridge to see if anything needed reset or if there was a defrost timer and there wasn't anything that I could see. I thought it could be the condensor. Any suggestions?

Check for power to compressor by removing back panel. If no power, go behind control panel and check ohms of the cold control. If ok you have a bad adaptive defrost board located near the cold control. Check for power out of control to confirm.
