Food in food compartment freezes, even with temp turned down to 1. Anyone else had this problem?

Check freezer temperature, should be below 10 degrees, If not you either have a refrigeration problem if partially frosted evaporator .
If below 10 degrees you may have a stuck damper in refrigerator.
