My icemaker has started leaking and forming large clumps of ice that come to a peak when the ice bin becomes full making it difficult to remove the bin. I am also getting pieces of black something in the ice. The leak is in the front toward the door. I think the refrigerator is about 10 years old. Do I need a new ice maker or is there a repair kit for the one I have? Thank you

You may have a water solenoid going sour, or a water supply pressure problem. Water solenoids will leak if the pressure is too low. Either that or a jamming icemaker.
Empty the icemaker and go in the back and switch the wires between the water dispenser valve and icemaker solenoids. Then press the water fountain in front for 9 seconds. The icemaker mold should fill up and not overflow.
