Question Filter leaking
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: ED5VHGXLM13
Age: 1 - 4 years

I read a post from tdhill about the filter in an Amana model. The suggestion was to pull the filter out and replace; then, to call for repair if still leaking since the Amana was still under warranty.

I have the same problem with my Whirlpool that is just over the year warranty for a month. I already pulled the filter out and set it back in, but the leaking persists. I suspect one of the filter O-rings or the housing. Is there a way to replace just the O-rings, or do I need to replace either the filter or the housing?

There is no listing for the o-rings but if you could find the right size it may fix your problem.

If your filter is a year old it is likely time to change it.

Check the housing for cracks.

Here is a link to your fridge model ED5VHGXml13.
