Unhappy Fan motor replacement
Brand: Amana
Model Number: TG18VW
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have ordered a replacement fan for this unit from partselct. It came in and I went to replace the fan with the new fan but it is completely different from the one I took out. I know that the manf. sometimes switch out parts with universal type parts parts, but this is way different. It is much smaller in size then the original one. It came with 2 brackets to mount the new fan but they are not large enough to reach the existing mounting area. What do I do? The fan that is shown on the web site for partselect shows the fan that was sent, but that is not what I have. I have checked the model number to make sure that was correct.

They obviosly show the wrong fan at partselect. This sometimes happens. Send the part back and call them explaining the problem. Also, you might want to check other suppliers.
