Default Factory installed ice maker
Brand: Hotpoint
Model Number: ctx21diblraa
Age: 5 - 10 years

Have an ice maker that has not been used in a while. It was freezing where the water comes in and I shut off water a while back. Now I am tring to get it to work. Got the water coming in but it just overflows and the water won't stop running into the place where the ice forms.

This can be caused by the water valve sticking or by a faulty micro switch or by a faulty timer motor.

The valve is on the back of the fridge where the water line is.

The micro switch and timer are in the front part of the ice maker.

Here is a link to your fridge model ctx21diblraa.

Thanks for the help, sounds like I should just get new, and not go part by part.
