Question Face Plate Removal
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: JRSD247
Age: More than 10 years

I just ordered a new Water Paddle part#115972. How do I remove the face plate on the freezer door? There are no visible screws, but appears to be attached firmly as I try to pull on it (seems it may be held by an adhesive foam). Please help. Do I have to take the whole freezer door apart to replace this paddle?

Can you please verify your model number?

There may be one or more characters missing.

Default Model #:

Your right inside the frig door had 1 more letter than the Manual. "JRSDE247"
There was also a part# 108930-1. Also if its any help the words on the face plate read "Convenience Center"

If you remove the grate that a glass would sit on you should find two screws.

Once you have removed these screws the face plate should come off by pushing up on the face plate.

Default No Screws:

There are no screws under the grate. The bottom of the face plate can be pulled almost 1/8" foward and it pulls out separate from the rest of the unit. Will this photo help.

Sorry most of the fridges now have screw.

Your is held on with two way tape.

It is listed on page 13 of the parts list and is called TAPE, ESCUTCHEON.
