Default Evap fan stops turning
Brand: Hotpoint
Model Number: hss25gfpjww
Age: 1 - 4 years

the first we knew of this problem is when you used the water/ ice maker the lights on display would blink, then there was a clicking noise coming from the mother board on back of refrigerator. we then noticed that the clicking sound coincided with the evap fan moving sporadically. we moved the fan with a butter knife and the fan would take off. the fan will run all day as long as you dont use water/ice maker, but when checked in the morning fan will be running sporadically with clicking sound. i'm leaning toward bad mother board, but hav'nt ruled out bad evap fan. anybody got any clues!

The mother board is your problem.

The fan is controlled by the mother board.

Here is a link to your fridge model hss25gfpjww.

You may have received a faulty board.
