I bought a replacement ASM Main Control Board. for a 2 1/2 yr old GE S/S fridge (GSH25GREBB). I could not remove the old board. It is mounted on narrow white "pylons" or pins which extend thru holes in the board. When attempting to pull the board off, I felt good resistance and was reluctant to use force for fear of ripping off the holding pins.

Is there a specific way to remove this board?
Does it require a special tool?

Or can I just use more force to pull the board off these pins?

Any assistance or information is appreciated. The installation instructions do not address this issue

Thanks

The pin will unlock by twisting them counter clock wise with needle nose pliers.

Here is a link to your fridge model GSH25kGREBB.
