Your defrost timer is located in the fridge section in the control housing.

You will see two screws with a little knob in between them.

The defrost heater and defrost bi metal are in behind the panel in the freezer that is ice cover right now.

With the compressor running turn the knob on the timer until the compressor shut off.

The defrost cycle takes about 20 to 25 minutes.

After about 10 minutes check the drip pan under the fridge and see if the is water in it.

If there is water in the tray your heater and bi metal are good.

After about 20 minutes you may want to unplug the fridge and empty the tray.

Normally the water is evaporated by the heat of the compressor but there will be more than normal.

Here is a link to your fridge model MTB1504ARW.
