Default Electric connections for Evaporator Motor
Brand: Kenmore
Age: More than 10 years

I ordered a replacement evaporator fan motor kit p/n 482731. It is a slightly different configuration that the oln one and I'm not sure which terminal the red, green and blue wires go on. The connectors on the transformer motor are labeled 3 and 4. I assume that the white wire goes on the third connector that is attached to the mounting bracket. Any help would be appreciated. Mark

I was wrong about the placement of the white wire. The connector on the motor housing is smaller than the other two and the connector on the green wire is small so it must go there. So that leaves me with the red and green wires on the connectors labeled 3 and 4.

If the white and red wires are connected backwards will it damage anything or just make the fan run backwards? Is the fan suppose to blow toward the back of the fridge (where there is a passage way down to the refridgerator section) or blow outward toward the cooling coils? Thanks
