I need two pieces of information.

(1) Which manufacturer made this freezer model for the now defunct Canadian department store Eaton's? It dates from 1976 and still functions well. I read someplace that General Electric made them but I'm not really sure.

(2) Time has taken it's toll on the door seal, and I'd like to try finding a replacement if at all possible. If an original part isn't available, is there a suitable universal or generic seal kit that could be used? The existing seal has dimensions of about 54-3/4 inches high by 26-5/8 wide.

This thread may prove to be quite a challenge, but any help given is most appreciated.

No problem. Most freezer form the 70's were made by Woods Company.

Although Eaton as a department store no longer exists you may still be able to get parts.
