Default Drip, drip, drip
Brand: Hotpoint
Model Number: CSX24DLB
Age: More than 10 years

Hello: My 15 year-old side-by-side has been working great until the door water dispenser started dripping, overflowing the catch basin, and puddling on my kitchen floor. I cleaned the nozzel, then air-purged the line by dispensing 10 glassfuls, then changed the in-line water filter. All to no avail. The ice-maker is working fine, as does the water dispenser. The nozzle just drips when no one is using it. Any ideas?

Your water inlet valve on the back of the unit could be leaking. You can disconnect the line coming out of the water inlet valve and see if it's dripping. Here's what your valve looks like.

Thanks for the quick response. Where is this water inlet valve located? The drawing was not too specific. it is in the back of the refrigerator, right? On the bottom? Thanks again.
