I bought this refrigerator for my daughter when she started college. It's run a total of less than 4 semesters and has stopped working. It clicks when you plug it in, then hums for a few seconds, and clicks off.

When I key in this model number and search for parts, I don't find anything. Compressor is an LG.

Any advice? This may be my first and last LG or Magic Chef appliance. Magic Chef gives me eWave's phone number. eWave doesn't return calls.

Is this just a throwaway unit? I'd love some advice on how to troubleshoot it and where to find replacement parts if needed. Thanks.

If out of warranty....compressor may have 5 yr warranty........check manual....if not, its not worth repair especially if its a table top or small dorm frig.
