Default Door Trim Install?
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GSS25VGMCCC
Age: 5 - 10 years

I am pretty proficient at repair but I wanted to ask some questions before I dive in too deep.
The door recess trim on my door cracked at the bottom.
I have the repair part in hand and it looks like I need to separate the inner part of the door (the white, shaped acrylic) away from the outer, metal door to get to the screws that hold the trim.
The part number I'm replacing is WR38X10208.
1) Does it sound right that I need to go from the inside out?
2) Is there a seal I would be breaking separating the two? If so, how do I repair the seal?

Any help is appreciated!!

The door on your fridge can not be separated.

It is what they call foamed in place.

Here is a link to your fridge model GSS25VGMCCC.

Then I'm confused.
How can you replace the trim (PS301910) if you cannot separate the door to unscrew the old trim piece?
Is it screwed in place, glued in place, or does it snap on?

Can anyone answer if the trim piece PS301910 (PartSelect number) or WR38X10208 (GE Part Number) is glued on, screwed on, or snapped on?
There are four tabs that I know snap but there are 10 - 12 posts where it looks like a screw can be installed.

The old trim piece should on snap at the bottom and then slid of the screw mount in the door.
