Default Door Replacement for Fresh Food side
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: msd2757dew
Age: 1 - 4 years

I am looking for some help to replace a door. Maytag stated that the door for this model was reengineered and I want to know what kind of headache I am getting in to. I also wanted to find out how difficult it was to replace just the exterior door using the remaining parts I have. Please let me know. Thanks.

I don't think there should be any trouble as far as the way the door will fit.

Usually when something is changed on these parts it is cosmetic.

What part of the door are you replacing?

The only trouble that is usually encounter is getting the door to seal.

But if you lay the door on a flat surface when you reassemble it this will help.

Tighten the screw in a pattern so that there is equal tension on all parts of the door.

Do not over tighten the screws or the door will bow.

There is no listed sequence for putting the screws in.
