Sheila,

How does one "adjust it so it will seal." My in-laws Amana refrigerator, mdl # TR21VW does not close at the bottom without a little push, but the seal looks fine. The door "looks" straight, not twisted. Any advice?

Thanks!

Ed

The adjustment is done with the screws that hold the gasket in place.

There is no easy way to adjust the door.

Smear some vaseline on the gasket at the bottom of the door, then before sleeping, tape the door shut till the gasket seals at the bottom. Take the tape off in the morning, it now should seal well. If not check that the bottom door gasket is mating well with the door trim. If not move the door hinge washers till it does.
It also helps to jack up the door feet in the front so the door is assisted shut by gravity.
