Default Door Gasket or other problem
Brand: Amana
Model Number: can't find it
Age: More than 10 years

Hello,

My referigerator ceiling is condensating and dripping water, apparently caused because the door is not sealing when it closes. If I push hard on the door when closing it, it seals, but I'm not sure if replacing the gasket will fix the problem.

Looking at the top of the door, it appears to be not level; could that be the cause of the bad seal? The opening/handle side appears lower than the hinge side.

I don't want to call a repair service and end up duped into a huge bill for something that could be simple.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Model # TS19TW

If the door is not level it could be the door hinge thimbles that are worn.

The thimbles are a hard plastic that the hinge pins go into.
