Our fridge started acting up yesterday and not sure what is going on. The Heatexchanger fan in the freezer started making a clicking noise and come to find out the dispenser will not dispense ice and we only get water intermittenly. when you push to dispense the led and the light bulb will go dim or totally out. In order to get the fan to stop clicking (if we don't want to wait 10-20min) is to push the dispenser with the ice button chosen and hold it till the fan runs right (usually 20sec.) I heard there is a recall for the master circuit board but can not find anything from GE about it.

It does sound like the mother board on your fridge is causing your problem.

To my knowledge there has not been a recall but check your owners manual for the warranty on your fridge.

Thanks there was a recall but only if you call GE and have them take a look at it will they tell you, it is not posted on GE but if you search you will find it talked about alot.

I have the same problem. GE is scheduled to come out. Was everything replaced free of charge including the service call? Thanks
