Default Filter - Dirty Ice

My ice appears to be dirty as I can see dirt particles or mould, discolour or something freezing in the ice. Does this fridge have a filter? what can be causing this?

Check the water tank behind the crispers for mold etc. What is your model number.

Default Same problem....particles in my ice

Mine is a GE.
Model number GSS25JFMD WW
Serial number: MD236324

I looked behind the top tray and the plastic cord is so long that its wrapped like a hundred times. I can see brown, except for the very top where the plastic tubing comes in. Can I trim that? Is there a coupling?
Please advise.

That coil of tubing is your water reservoir for your water dispenser. Being brown it may be that is the source of your contamination. You can do away with the coil and not have any cold water reservoir or replace it.

Here's one I'm sure would work. The parts for your model don't show one. This one is part 38 on diagram and parts list. You can also buy the tubing as an appliance parts store.
