the display unit that show the temp and the settings of the refigerator is no longer working. trying to figure out if its sometype of fuse or if i need to start taking thing apart.

It is likely the mother board at the back of the fridge that has failed.

There should be a technician sheet in an envelope stuck to the bottom of the fridge behind the kick plate.

This sheet will help you test the fridge.
