Model Number: GSS22WGMC WW
Age: 5 - 10 years
Why does my defrost heater keep going bad? I have had 4 heaters go bad in seven years.

That is a hard question to answer.

Like most electrical parts it is hard to say when they will fail.

Check the wire connection and make sure they are tight.

Loose wiring can cause this.
