Default Defrost cycle for Frigidaire freezer
Brand: Please select
Model Number: MFU20F3GW9
Age: 5 - 10 years

Would you please tell me the frequency and duration of the defrost cycle on this machine? What is the maximum temperature to which the freezer compartment gets during the defrosting operation? Assuming the normal temperature in the freezer is 0 degrees Fahrenheit, what is the elapsed time from when the defrosting cycle begins and when it ends (defined as when the freezer compartment is back to its operating temperature of zero dgrees Fahrenheit)?

On the back of the defrost time it should tell you if your timer is an eight hour, a ten hour, or a twelve hour timer.

These times refer to the frequency that the freeze will go into the defrost cycle.

The defrost cycle can last up to about 23 minutes.

The heater does not necessarily stay on that long, it is switched off with the defrost thermostat .

The cut out temperature should be stamped on the thermostat.

The temperature in the freezer will not change that much maybe a few degrees.
