Default Defrost Control Kenmore Refrigerator
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 3639532783
Age: More than 10 years

I have a Kenmore side by side refrigerator Model No. 3639532783. I was told I need to replace a Defrost Control to correct frost problem on coils. Can you let me know where the "Defrost Control" is located at?

If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat

Your timer should be just under the door behind the removable kick plate. Here is a link to a picture and some descriptions of installing it.
